Precision profiles. Production quantities. Our Bystronic 12 kW fibre laser cuts flat-sheet components for manufacturers, fabricators and product businesses. We process mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium for work ranging from prototype parts to repeat batches.
*Manufacturer-rated stainless steel maximum. Maximum thickness and full sheet size may not be available together. Material grade, part geometry, sheet weight and edge requirements determine suitability. Other material thicknesses are confirmed at quote.
Profiles built around your drawings. Cut external shapes, holes and slots, with critical features and tolerances reviewed before production.
Repeat parts and nested batches. CNC nesting arranges components across the sheet to make efficient use of material.
Cutting and folding together. Combine laser-cut blanks with CNC folding for brackets, panels and enclosures.

2025 BYSTRONIC XPERT PRO 150T
The Bystronic Xpert Pro is Bystronic's flagship press brake — not one of the better options, the benchmark. Patented Pressure-Reference technology and LAMS optical angle measurement mean every bend across a production run is identical to the first. We commissioned the 2025 model specifically to serve high-volume OEM customers who cannot afford variation between parts.
Zero angle errors. Patented Pressure-Reference technology automatically compensates for material variation — no operator correction needed between parts.
Identical results at 10,000 pieces. Dynamic crowning adjusts the lower beam continuously, ensuring consistent geometry across every part in a high-volume run.
Handles complex geometry. Extended stroke enables multi-bend profiles, narrow flanges, and tall box sections.
Six clicks from 3D file to finished part. ByVision Bending determines optimal bend sequence, tonnage, and tooling automatically from your DXF or STEP.

CNC TUBE LASER
Tube laser cutting is a capability most Melbourne fabricators simply don't have. Where a flatbed laser cuts flat sheet, our tube laser processes round, square, and rectangular hollow sections — cutting holes, slots, mitre joints, and complex 3D profiles directly into the tube. Frame fabrication, handrail systems, trailer chassis, structural assemblies — all in one machine, without sawing or drilling.
Replaces three operations in one. Cuts, holes, and mitres in a single pass — no sawing, no drilling.
Perfect fit-up, every time. Laser-cut mitres and coped joints fit precisely, reducing weld prep time.
Structural and decorative. Frame structures, handrail systems, furniture, trailer chassis, architectural steelwork.

Does Westberg have tube laser cutting in Melbourne?
Yes — we operate a CNC tube laser for round, square, and rectangular hollow sections. This capability is rare among Melbourne SMB fabricators.
What is the maximum cut thickness?
Our Bystronic 12 kW fibre laser has a manufacturer-rated stainless steel cutting capacity up to 30 mm. Suitability depends on material grade, part geometry, sheet weight and required edge finish.
